Where do these numbers come fromIJ "worldwide Cat has 50% of the market" BS. Does Cat even market a combine outside of the USIJ lexions are made by Claas and Challengers by MF. Besides, while I know JD has a sales edge over Case, I don't believe it is that big. I would bet it would be closer to: JD 55%, Case 35%, all else 10%.

Nbterveen, Your taking too many tablets!!!!! Go back to school and learn the meaning of life before you post anymore crap!!!! On the other boards you say Cat has 50% of world market shareIJ Just to put you in the picture,Cat lexion combines are actually made in Germany by ClAAS and shipped over to the USA and then assembled in Nebraska and Cat stickers attached!!!!!!

But remember Claas makes a lot of small combines as does CNH for third world. combines most people have never saw. I really don't think anyone really knows what goes on sometimes.

Where did you get that fromIJIJ When Case and New Holland were puchased by Fiat they became the second largest ag equiptment mfg company in the world. Deere and company is the largest in ag, lawn and garden, and second in construction. They remain the only major ag company that hasn't been sold, bought out by, or merged. John Deere is John Deere world wide. Unlike the rest who just change dresses to be sold in another country.

Your right Big Truck, in fact Cat got out of the ag industry altogather. They sold it to Agco in I believe 2002. Agco owns the right to the Challenger name and access to the Cat dealer network aswell.
