A J.D. 95,round back, picking up wheat swaths. Can still hear it purring on a cold Canadian morning in October, with no cab, and a parka pulled up high around your neck in 0 degree weather, with a wind blowing all the wheat dust in your face..........ahhhhhhhhh the memories.
The first combine I operated was a CASE 1660, and I mean a Case combine, not CaseIH! I remember it to be a "state-of-the-art" machine in its day. It had a 15 or 16 foot rigid bar with an aftermarket flex attachment and a 4 row wide cornhead! This was the DElUXE model; - it had a factory cab with a fan and heater.
a 9500 grampa was trying out a9510 and the 9500 was sitting in the yard so i comdined some corn with it . not just as easy as it looks from the buddy seat.but i got to learn some time.wish i had the better radio .Grampa doesn' t even know what the spice girls R.he thinks it is something that gives him heart burn.it does my dad mike age 10 and getting older
The first I ran was a 6600. Glad to see the day it left. From there went to a 7720II, then just recently to a 9500(which I consider a major improvment).
I am only 31 years old, but I will never forget running an old JD 55 cutting barley. I had to stand up the whole time, and the sweat bees almost drove me to tears
