i'am in texas. harvesting corn. my feeder slips easily also, but this is a minor problem. does not get any attention. dealer turned pressure up but it will not hold it falls to 250's and low pressure goes off. case can't fix it.

We demonstrated a new 8010 for three days. liked how it cleaned and saved wheat, good capacity, liked the big bulk tank and the way it unloaded, but got tired of the PTO pressure and system pressure alarms going off. My dealer kept turning them up, but when I got into a hill the combine would prioritize the oil flow from the rotor to the hydrostat system, so if I was in good irrigated wheat or a big hill it sometimes would but a strain on the rotor flow and shut the rotor off. Machine has tons of potential just needs to work some hydrolic bugs out.

What crop are you running the 8010 and 460 in, are they running similar sized headsIJ When you mentioned "the 460 running not too far behind," what sort of difference is there: .5mph, etc.IJ The 460 is a huge straw walker machine and in the right conditions I would say the 8010, even with 85 more horsepower will still find it a challenge to shake the 460 Cat.

we are in barley 70 bu_a. and heavy straw 36 foot honey headers on all combines. if we can get the straw past the stone trap I think the 8010 is about 20 % bigger but so far the 460 is keeping up

The feeder is slipping in the gear box that drives the stone beater and the feeder chain. the clutch is internal and it is not strong enough when using a stone trap it is the same clutch used without the stone trap, The presure that every one is talking about is the control preasure. it is set to low, it is easy to turn up just ask your dealer, I think we have ours set at 324 with engine at ful rpm it runs around 310 in the field. it hasnt botherd us since

the pressure on my machine is turned all the way up. it won't hold, but i think the dealer found a leak inside the chopper hydraulic drive. they have parts coming for tommorow, so we will see if this is the problem. i hope it is machine is really nice besides hyd. problems.

The farmers that have 8010's with the latest updates will pass the 9860. The bugs are being resolved.
